Quality Assurance Lead – Residential Child Care

Job summary

Orchard Residential Care is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to support our teams in delivering safe, high-quality care for children and young people 24/7. Based from our Sligo or Dublin office, the role offers hybrid working with travel across the region to conduct audits, reviews and improvement activities.

You will develop and implement QA systems, prepare reports and support regulatory readiness, working with PICs, Regional Directors and external stakeholders to continuously improve

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in health, social care or quality management.
• At least one year experience in a social care setting, preferably in residential services.
• Experience implementing a quality system in a care environment.
• Knowledge of risk management and incident management & review.
• Knowledge of Tusla standards and inspections.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with reporting and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support development of quality assurance systems across Orchard Residential Care services to ensure compliance with legislation, standards and policies.
• Participate in the annual quality audit programme, including desktop and on-site audits, producing reports and supporting Quality Improvement Plans.
• Collaborate with Persons in Charge, Regional Directors and teams to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Collect, analyse and monitor quality data, KPIs, incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns; provide recommendations for service improvement.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual quality reports highlighting assurance, risk and opportunities for improvement.
• Support regulatory readiness and inspection preparation, and governance of policies and document control.
• Coordinate shared learning from audits, inspections, incidents and safeguarding reviews across the division.
