Responsibilities

• Conducting monitoring visits to member firms.
• Reviewing firm processes and methodologies in relation to practicing activities.
• Reviewing firm's compliance with the Institute's rules and regulations.
• Critical assessment of the work carried out by practice firms including judgements on audits and accounting issues.
• Interviews with principals and other team members; reporting on visits with findings and recommendations.
• Adding value by making recommendations to firms aimed at improving quality.

MCS Group is delighted to be working with Ireland's leading professional accountancy body who are actively seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join their team to cover the ROI region.

The Benefits

The successful Quality Assurance Inspector can expect to receive the following:

• Salary up to €100,000
• €630 per month car allowance
• Remote based role - Requirement to attend client site visits once a week
• 23 Days (20 days annual leave and 3 concession days. This will increase by one day each year to a max of 25 days + 3 concession days.
• Non-guaranteed discretionary bonus scheme. Payment is dependent on personal performance and is not guaranteed or contractual.
• Pension Scheme - ER matched up to 10%
• Salary Protection Plan which is payable to those on long-term sickness absence of more than 26 weeks.
• Death in service.
• Relevant subscriptions are paid that are related to the role.

The Role

You will have a wide range of duties, such as;

• Conducting monitoring visits to member firms
• Reviewing firm's processes and methodologies in relation to practicing activities
• Reviewing firm's compliance with the Institute's rules and regulations
• Critical assessment of the work carried out by practice firms including judgements made by principals on key issues including audit, accounting, investment business and anti-money laundering issues
• Interviews with principals and other team members
• Reporting on the visit including findings and recommendations to the firms
• Adding value by making recommendations to firms aimed at improving quality

The Person

The ideal candidate will be:

• 5+ years post chartered experience.
• Extensive Audit experience
• Extensive accountancy practice experience
• Strong attention to detail and focus on results
• Right to work within NI & ROI*
