Job summary

Elwood Roberts - Your Trusted Recruitment Partner in Ireland seeks an embedded QA Lead who will own test strategy while remaining hands-on, collaborating with engineers on a microservices-based API and UI component stack. The role centers on driving quality practices and building test plans without people management.

The position requires leading strategy with close engagement with stakeholders, and a strong background in automation using Selenium, Appium, and Java or Python in fast-paced CI/CD

Qualifications

• Gained over 4 years QA processes and methodology.
• Has over 4 years of solid hands-on QA automation experience.
• Experience with microservices environments and fast-feedback CI/CD pipelines.
• A proven background in owning and building test strategy and test plans independently.
• Comfortable driving quality-focused change into a team, not just executing existing process.
• Strong experience with Selenium / Appium, API testing tools/frameworks.
• Strong experience using automation scripting language, such as Java or Python.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're looking for an embedded QA who can own test strategy and stay hands-on not a traditional standalone tester. You will work within a team building multi-service API and UI components (moving away from a monolithic architecture), driving quality practices alongside development rather than sitting apart from it.

We are looking for people with th below expeirence:

• Gained over 4 years QA processes and methodology.
• Has over 4 years of Solid hands-on QA automation experience
• Experience with microservices environments and fast-feedback CI/CD pipelines
• A proven background in owning and building test strategy and test plans independently
• Comfortable driving quality-focused change into a team, not just executing existing process
• Strong experience with Selenium / Appium, API testing tools/frameworks
• Strong expeirence using automation scripting language, such as Java or Python.

This is a Lead-level role in terms of ownership and seniority, but with no people management responsibilities. We need someone who leads on strategy while remaining hands-on day-to-day.

It will be important you have a clear point of view on ideal QA process or ability to drive change.

This is a great foot in the door into a leading aviation business. You will work along side talented Engineers but take ownership on important projects and work closely with key stakeholders.
