Job summary

Diageo Ireland is seeking a Quality Laboratory Analyst to provide analytical and microbiological support to production and technical teams. You will be the quality voice within the aligned team, ensuring safe, quality-focused operations and delivering service excellence.

You will work across the brewery with production colleagues, taking responsibility for your training and development and contributing to continuous improvements in quality, safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Good organisational skills and teamwork within a production environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard software.
  • Experience supporting quality or production operations in a lab.

About The Function

Quality plays a critical role in ensuring Diageo consistently delivers safe, high-quality products to customers. Working closely with production and technical teams, the function safeguards product quality, food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across brewery operations.

About The Team

The laboratory team provides analytical and microbiological support to brewery operations, partnering with production and technical colleagues to maintain the highest standards of quality, food safety, customer service, and operational excellence.

About The Role

As a Quality Laboratory Analyst, you will provide a comprehensive analytical and microbiological service to production and support teams. Acting as the quality voice within your aligned team, you will support safe and quality-focused operations while delivering high standards of customer service and contributing to continuous improvement across the brewery.

Role Responsibilities
  • Commit to Occupational Health and Safety standards and actively champion safety as the number one priority.
  • Adhere to all site safety rules, systems, and equipment operating procedures.
  • Follow all instructions relating to the Food Safety and Quality Management System to ensure safe, quality products.
  • Provide analytical and microbiological testing services to production and support teams.
  • Act as the quality voice of the aligned team.
  • Support the delivery of the highest standards in quality, cost, and customer service.
  • Deliver a high-performance service to customers across the brewery.
  • Work closely with technical and operational colleagues to provide analysis and laboratory support.
  • Take responsibility for your own training, development, and capability growth.
  • This role offers the opportunity to develop your laboratory expertise while partnering with teams across the brewery and contributing directly to the quality of some of the world's most iconic beverages.
Experience / Skills Required

We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Strong analytical thinking skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver high-quality results.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to contribute effectively within a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment supporting quality or production operations.
Preferred Experience

Proven applied competency in one or more of the following:

  • Chemical analysis
  • Microbiological analysis
  • Brewing Quality Control
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced production, manufacturing, QA, or laboratory environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality principles and their impact on wider business performance and brewery operations.
Education
  • HND, BSc in Laboratory Technology, or equivalent qualification preferred.
