Qualifications

• Level 8 degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in a pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment.
• Strong multi-skilled maintenance background (mechanical & electrical).
• Experience with PLC programming and fault-finding; HMI and vision systems.
• Ability to read and interpret 3D drawings; strong troubleshooting and quality mindset.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Maintenance Technician to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging team. This is a shift-based role supporting production operations through equipment reliability, maintenance excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, Quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production and process equipment
• Support and execute line changeovers efficiently to meet production demands
• Diagnose and resolve equipment faults and breakdowns in a timely manner
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects with a focus on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning
• Work with PLC systems, HMI interfaces, and vision systems for troubleshooting and optimisation
• Interpret and utilise 3D technical drawings and schematics
• Ensure strict adherence to health & safety and quality standards within a regulated environment
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams

Requirements

• A desired Level 8 degree in Engineering or a Related technical discipline
• At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in a pharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing environment
• Strong multi-skilled maintenance background (mechanical & electrical)
• Proven experience in equipment reliability and performance optimisation
• Working knowledge of PLC programming and fault-finding
• Experience with HMI systems and vision systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical and 3D drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong quality and compliance mindset
• Willingness and availability to work a two-cycle shift pattern
