Job summary

Elis Ireland is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support daily operations and continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will ensure reliability, safety, and compliance of plant and cleanroom equipment as part of a hands-on technical team.

Working in Dublin, you will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and liaise with production and quality teams to minimise downtime.

The Role

As a qualified Mechanical and/or Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will support the operation by ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of plant, production, and cleanroom‑critical equipment. This is a hands‑on technical role within a regulated environment, supporting both day-to-day operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production equipment
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Support compliance by maintaining equipment to required control standards.
• Escalate recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment
• Work closely with production, quality, and operations teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, site procedures, and regulatory requirements. Conduct fire walks at the end of shift ensuring close down procedures are adhered to.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers when required

Skills & Experience

• Recognised trade qualification or relevant experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
• Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• High attention to detail with strong safety awareness
• Flexible and proactive approach to work
