Job summary

Enet is seeking a Qualified Electrician to lead electrical operations across its Dublin estate with nationwide travel. You will manage LV boards, generators, UPS and DC systems, supervise contractors, and drive planned maintenance and incident response.

You will ensure compliance with Irish standards, contribute to policy development, and participate in ISO 14001 audits while supporting building upkeep and service coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualifications in power equipment to Irish Standard 10101:2020.
• Familiar with legal/regulatory documents impacting engineering operations.
• Ability to develop and interpret engineering policies and operational strategies.
• Conduct risk impact analysis including brand, penalties and revenue protection.
• Experience managing large change initiatives across complex estates.

• Supervise third-party suppliers and ensure SLA compliance.
• Plan and execute M&E and fire suppression PPM activities.

• Assist building upkeep and coordinate soft facility services.
• Be on-call rota for major incidents and on-site/out-of-hours support.

Job description

As the Qualified Electrician at Enet, you will be the key Operational Engineer / electrician in the Power team, overseeing & responding to our core mechanical and electrical infrastructure across the Enet estate. This role reports into the Facilities & Property Manager and is located in Dublin with some travel required nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly electrical engineering operational routines across the ECL estate.
• Experience and qualifications in power equipment (e.g., LV boards, generators, UPS, DC systems) to Irish Standard 10101:2020 National Rules for Electrical Installations.
• Manage and maintain critical power infrastructure: LV boards, generators, UPS, and DC systems.
• Supervise third-party engineering suppliers performing infrastructure activities.
• Implement Electrical & Mechanical (M&E) and fire suppression Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and assist with fault repair callouts.
• Handle maintenance and delivery of power/cooling changes and Incident Management processes.
• Project manage and implement electrical engineering projects to ensure operational readiness for new services.
• Administer electrical engineering platforms for recording maintenance activities and present them during ISO 14001 audits.
• Assist in the maintenance of building upkeep (internal/external) and coordinate soft facility services with the Property Team.
• Detect, record, investigate, diagnose, resolve and close electrical engineering incidents during core hours and on-call rotations.
• Adherence to relevant H&S processes and procedures during the course of activities
• Be part of out of hours on-call rota for major incidents.
• Understand necessary legal and regulatory documents relevant to engineering operations and facilities.
• Can develop and interpret engineering policies and operational strategies.
• Conduct risk impact analysis (including brand impact, financial penalty avoidance and revenue protection).
