RSM Ireland is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join our Accounting & Financial Reporting team in Dublin. You will develop specialist expertise in statutory financial reporting under FRS 102, FRS 101 and IFRS, working with a varied portfolio of Irish and international clients.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Recent qualification with up to 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience preparing or auditing statutory financial statements.
• Knowledge of FRS 102; IFRS/FRS101 desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements and disclosures under FRS 102, FRS 101 and IFRS.
• Prepare supporting schedules and audit-ready working papers.
• Review trial balances and supporting information to identify accounting and reporting matters.
• Research and assist with resolution of technical accounting and disclosure queries.
• Liaise with clients and audit teams to obtain information and resolve financial reporting queries.
• Ensure financial statements comply with accounting standards and company law.
• Manage assigned work to deadlines and maintain quality.
• Collaborate with Managers, Directors and Partners on reporting engagements.
• Support and share knowledge with junior team members.

About The Role

RSM Ireland is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join our Accounting & Financial Reporting team in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant looking to develop specialist expertise in statutory financial reporting under FRS 102, FRS 101 and IFRS. You will work with a varied portfolio of Irish and international clients, supporting the preparation of high‑quality financial statements and related reporting requirements. This position offers challenging, interesting, and rewarding work within a global network organisation. This role is a permanent full‑time opportunity, but we are very open to considering flexible working arrangements.

• Prepare statutory financial statements and disclosures under FRS 102, FRS 101 and IFRS.


• Prepare supporting schedules and audit‑ready working papers.


• Review trial balances and supporting information to identify accounting and reporting matters.


• Research and assist with the resolution of technical accounting and disclosure queries.


• Liaise directly with clients and audit teams to obtain information and resolve financial reporting queries.


• Ensure financial statements comply with applicable accounting standards and company law requirements.


• Manage assigned work to agreed deadlines and maintain a high standard of quality.


• Work closely with Managers, Directors and Partners on a range of financial reporting engagements.


• Collaborate with colleagues across RSM’s audit, tax and other specialist teams.


• Support and share knowledge with junior team members where appropriate.

About the ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• ACA, ACCA or an equivalent recognised professional accountancy qualification.


• Newly qualified to approximately two years’ post‑qualification experience.


• Experience preparing or auditing statutory financial statements.


• Good working knowledge of FRS 102, with experience or exposure to IFRS and/or FRS 101 highly desirable.


• Strong attention to detail and an interest in developing deeper technical financial reporting expertise.


• Good analytical, organisational and problem‑solving skills.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• A proactive, collaborative and client‑focused approach.
