Job summary

RSM Ireland is seeking an experienced Audit Senior Manager to join our Audit & Assurance team in Dublin. You will manage a varied client portfolio, lead complex audits and review financial statements in accordance with professional standards and firm methodology.

Working closely with directors and partners, you will coach managers and engagement teams, oversee budgets and billing, support business development, and contribute to practice growth while upholding independence and high-quality

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified with significant external audit experience at Manager or Senior Manager level.
• Proven experience managing an audit portfolio and leading complex engagements, with strong technical auditing and financial reporting knowledge.
• Strong client relationship skills and commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, billing and recoverability.
• Experience coaching teams, managing performance and supporting career development.
• Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex audits and review audit work and financial statements in accordance with professional standards, firm methodology and regulatory requirements.
• Manage engagement resources, budgets, profitability, overruns, billing and recoverability, ensuring timely delivery.
• Coach managers and engagement teams, provide meaningful feedback, conduct performance reviews and support development through stretch assignments.
• Develop future leaders and promote inclusion, collaboration and accountability.

About The Role
RSM Ireland is seeking an experienced Audit Senior Manager to join RSM Ireland’s Audit & Assurance team. Working closely with directors and partners, you will manage a varied client portfolio, lead complex audits and develop managers and engagement teams. The role offers opportunities to broaden your client exposure, strengthen your leadership skills and progress within the practice.
Responsibilities Include
Client Focus

• Manage an audit portfolio, build trusted client relationships and maintain engagement beyond individual assignments.


• Support business development, proposals and tenders, identifying opportunities across service lines and the international network, subject to independence and ethical requirements.

• Identify and implement improvements to audit delivery through digital tools, innovation and efficient working practices.


• Bring industry and market insights into client discussions and contribute to departmental projects, practice growth and external engagement.
  

Premium Delivery

• Lead complex audits and review audit work and financial statements in accordance with professional standards, firm methodology and regulatory requirements.


• Manage engagement resources, budgets, profitability, overruns, billing and recoverability, ensuring timely delivery.


• Resolve engagement risks and technical issues, consulting with directors and partners and escalating significant matters promptly.

• Coach managers and engagement teams, provide meaningful feedback, conduct performance reviews and support development through stretch assignments.

The Person
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA qualified with significant external audit experience at Manager or Senior Manager level.
