Qualifications

  • Proven commercial experience as a QA Tester in a software development environment.
  • Strong experience in manual testing (functional, integration, regression).
  • Experience creating detailed test cases and scenarios from requirements or user stories.
  • Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to join a global payments organisation based in Dublin City Centre on an initial 6-month contract. You will play a key role within the QA function, working closely with software developers, business analysts, product owners and other stakeholders to ensure that high-quality, reliable solutions are delivered to customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a QA professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and is interested in gaining experience within the global payments and fintech sector. The role operates on a hybrid working model, with 3 days per week required in our Dublin City Centre office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and execute manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
  • Perform functional, integration, system and regression testing across applications and services.
  • Identify, document and track software defects through to resolution.
  • Work closely with developers and product teams to investigate and resolve defects.
  • Review requirements and user stories to identify potential quality risks and gaps in test coverage.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of test plans, test scenarios and test documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, refinement and retrospectives.
  • Execute end-to-end testing across complex systems and integrations.
  • Validate data and system behaviour across different environments.
  • Support release and deployment activities, ensuring appropriate testing has been completed before production releases.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, issues and results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards and practices.
Essential Experience & Skills
  • Proven commercial experience working as a QA Tester / Software Tester within a software development environment.
  • Strong experience in manual testing, including functional, integration and regression testing.
  • Experience creating detailed test cases and test scenarios from requirements or user stories.
  • Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, business analysts, product owners and other stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
