Job summary

Zinkworks is seeking experienced Software QA Engineers to join our engineering team. You’ll be embedded in an agile delivery squad, building robust automated tests for microservices, APIs, and data pipelines to ensure high quality releases.

You will design and maintain test frameworks using Java, Cucumber, JUnit, and Maven/Gradle, validate backend APIs and SQL data, and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines on OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in Java development for test automation.
• Proficient with Cucumber, JUnit, Maven or Gradle.
• Strong API testing experience (REST, JSON).
• Experience testing microservices in production-scale systems.
• Solid SQL knowledge and ability to validate stored procedures.
• Familiar with Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
• Comfortable with Unix/Linux commands for debugging.
• OpenShift or Kubernetes cluster experience.
• Experience with UDeploy, Redis, and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for microservices, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Perform Backend API testing, Database validation, and Integration testing.
• Write BDD tests using Cucumber in a Java-based test framework (JUnit, Maven, Gradle).
• Automate tests for Spring Boot and Spring Batch applications deployed to OpenShift / Kubernetes clusters.
• Validate SQL queries, stored procedures, and complex data transformations.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (UDeploy, Jenkins, etc.).
• Collaborate with developers to define test coverage, quality metrics, and debug issues.
• Use Unix/Linux commands for log analysis, deployment, and validation in distributed environments.
• Work with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Interact with distributed systems including Kafka, Redis, etc.
