Job summary

Leading Irish Main Contractor in Co. Wicklow is seeking a QA Engineer to join a major education development project. This role provides hands-on QA/QC experience on site from early stages through to completion.

You will work alongside site engineers, subcontractors and design teams, maintain QA records, perform inspections and help ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and placement experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Placement experience in Irish construction industry.
• Exposure to QA/QC, site engineering or site operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organized documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems
• Carry out regular quality inspections of works and ensure construction is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and required standards
• Maintain QA documentation including inspection records, checklists, test plans and material records
• Work closely with Site Engineers, Site Managers and subcontractors to identify and resolve quality issues

Overview

Excellent opportunity for a QA Engineer to join a highly regarded Irish Main Contractor on a major education development in Co. Wicklow.

This is an ideal role for a Graduate Engineer or Junior Engineer who wants to develop specifically within quality assurance, working alongside an experienced construction team on a large scale project from an early stage through to completion.

You’ll be joining an established Irish Main Contractor with 30+ years of experience and an excellent reputation for delivering high quality projects across the education, healthcare, residential, commercial and sports sectors.

There is a genuine emphasis on quality throughout the business, with QA integrated into day to day project delivery rather than treated simply as a paperwork exercise.

You’ll gain hands on experience working with site management, engineers, subcontractors and design teams, giving you an excellent grounding in how a major construction project is delivered and handed over to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities
