Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to maintain industry-leading standards across multiple construction projects in Dublin. The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in line with regulatory requirements.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. The position offers a competitive salary of €70k – €80k, along with opportunities for career progression within a collaborative working environment.

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a quality-focused role within civil engineering or construction.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale residential and/or commercial projects.
  • Excellent understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.

Job description

My client is a leading Civil Engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality large-scale residential and commercial projects across Dublin. With a robust project pipeline and continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to drive excellence and maintain industry-leading standards across all sites.

The Quality Manager will take responsibility for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with regulatory and client requirements. This role will ensure that all works are delivered to the highest quality standards across multiple concurrent projects.

Duties
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 standards
  • Develop and manage inspection and test plans (ITPs) and quality assurance procedures
  • Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across multiple projects
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure quality standards are embedded from planning through to completion
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation and reporting systems
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies regarding quality standards and compliance
  • Deliver training and guidance to site teams to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Support project teams in meeting handover and certification requirements
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to quality standards
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a quality-focused role within civil engineering or construction
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Proven experience working on large-scale residential and/or commercial projects
  • Excellent understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
