Job summary

International Organization for Migration (IOM) Ireland is seeking a Caseworker – Protection to support Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection across state accommodation in Ireland. The role involves protection-focused casework, vulnerability assessments and referrals to services, under the supervision of the Head of Unit.

Fluency in English is required; Ukrainian/Russian language skills are desirable. The successful candidate will work in a multi-cultural team, contribute to programme

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related field with three years of relevant professional experience; or High School diploma with five years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint; IT proficient; strong Excel skills.
• Experience with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, trafficking victims or other vulnerable groups.
• Experience with international humanitarian organisations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support programmes that assist Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP) in Ireland.
• Focus on BOTP in state accommodation settings nationwide facing barriers to independence.
• Conduct individualised protection-focused casework, including vulnerability assessments, needs identification and referrals to support services.
• Fulfill other programme-related responsibilities as required.
