Job summary

IOM - UN Migration in Ireland seeks a Caseworker – Protection to support Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP) nationwide. You will perform individualised protection-focused casework, including vulnerability assessments, needs identification, and referrals to services, while working with state accommodation settings.

The role involves coordinating with state authorities and UN agencies, performing data analysis, and drafting reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant professional experience or high school diploma with five years of experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
• Retrieve, compile, summarise, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
• Support the Senior Protection Associate with the development and implementation of the Protection strategy of the programme through research and additional support as required.
• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability screenings of BOTP’s prior to individualised casework.
• Utilise the Programme SOPs to Support BOTP in state accommodation.
• Coordinate with assigned focal points at State Accommodation Centres and maintain coordination with diverse units and external parties.
• Disseminate key information to BOTP and referring cases; provide translation and interpretation services as necessary.
• Draft status reports, identify shortfalls, and suggest remedial actions.
