Job summary

Digital Manufacturing Ireland (DMI) is seeking a Commercial Support Executive & Proposals Engineer to drive high-quality proposals and bid management. You will coordinate commercial and technical inputs across engineering, software, and delivery teams, ensuring proposals meet customer specs and commercial requirements.

The role requires strong organisation, communication, and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial support, proposals, bid management, or sales support role.
• Excellent written communication and document preparation skills.
• Strong organisational and project coordination abilities.
• High attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using CRM systems.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial automation, digital transformation, or OT environments.
• Understanding of engineering or industrial software solutions.
• Experience preparing proposals.
• Knowledge of procurement frameworks and bid processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation and submission of customer proposals, quotations, and tenders.
• Collaborate with technical teams to analyse customer requirements and RFP documentation.
• Develop clear, accurate, and compelling proposal documents.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, software, and delivery teams.
• Ensure proposals comply with customer specifications and commercial requirements.
• Manage proposal timelines and submission deadlines.
• Maintain proposal templates and bid documentation.
• Prepare quotations, pricing schedules, and commercial documentation.
• Support contract reviews and commercial risk assessments.
• Maintain opportunity records within the CRM system.
• Assist with forecasting, pipeline reporting, and sales metrics.
