Job summary

CBRE in Dublin seeks a Project Supervisor to oversee electrical/mechanical and facilities-related projects, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery. You will manage day-to-day site operations, liaise with Head of Projects and Project Manager, and build strong client relationships.

Applicants should have a minimum of five years' supervisory experience in M&E, FM or construction, with proven P&L and vendor management skills, and a solid grasp of QHSE frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise projects to ensure safe, on-time delivery.
  • Communicate progress to Head of Projects and PM.
  • Understand full scope of works to be delivered.
  • Embed QHSE practices in each project.
  • Ensure compliance with project management policies.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations end-to-end, including sub-contractor management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for effective implementation.
  • Secure written customer acceptance per project plans.
  • Keep project documents current and stored properly.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and site teams.

Job description

  • Be responsible for the supervision of projects to ensure their safe and on time delivery.
  • Communicate progress to Head of Projects/Project Manager
  • Understand the full scope of the project works to be delivered.
  • Ensure QHSE practices and processes are fully embedded in each project.
  • Ensure full compliance with project management policies and procedures.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) “end to end”. Activities to include but not be limited to sub-contractor management and site supervisory duties.
  • Work closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
  • Ensure customer acceptance is adhered to, in writing and in line with the project plans.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  • Build strong effective working relationships with our customers and site teams.
  • Builds knowledge base of each client’s business, organisation, and objectives.
  • Develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
  • Communicate effectively with clients.
  • Use sound judgment in all project communication and ensure that key stakeholders including the team, client and management are apprised of project activities in a timely manner.
  • Ensure project meets internal and client expectations with respect to quality, safety, and delivery time
  • Understand pricing model and billing procedures
  • Assist the Project Manager in managing scope creep through client change orders, internal change orders, phased delivery, or other methods to ensure projects deliver on timeline, scope, and budget and strategy expectations.
  • Attend Project reviews to analyse project profitability, revenue, margin etc.
  • Ensure that all involved in the delivery of the project understand the scope of work to meet the customer’s specification.

  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on each project. Escalate these issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and timeline.
  • Ensure the supply partners on site are aware of all items required for the project files, H&S, toolbox talks, RAMS, site audits, commissioning, O&M’s, permits to work etc
  • Be in attendance on site for the works inclusive of any out of hour’s requirements.
  • Ensure all variations to the works are captured and reported to the HoP/PM.
  • Make sure all O&M manuals are complete and available prior to practical completion

  • Proven experience of running a P&L
