Job summary

DesignBuild Search is partnering with a tier 1 contractor to source a Quantity Surveyor for a substantial project in West Dublin. The role will see you contribute to post tender activities, procurement, contract administration and final accounts across residential, commercial, and hotel sectors.

You should hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field with at least 3 years post college experience, including 3+ years with a main contractor.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Proven ability to manage cost and commercial targets.

Responsibilities

• Assist with post tender and pre contract activities, reviewing tender files.
• Procurement of subcontractors and preparation of variation schedules and payments.
• Handle contract administration, reporting, and final accounts with the team.
• Coordinate with commercial targets and integrate strategy for the project.
• Liaise with team members to influence and guide construction process.

DesignBuild Search are working with a tier 1 contractor who have QS opportunities on a large scale project project in West Dublin. Our client has been in operation for over 100 years working across commercial, residential, industrial and hotel projects.

This position will give you the opportunity to work on prestigious projects throughout Dublin whilst working with recognised industry leaders.

Requirements:

Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field

3+ years post college experience

3+ years with a main contractor

Responsible include:

• Post tender and pre contract activities: familiarisation with the tender file and assisting with preparing commercial targets for the project.
• During the contract period: the procurement of subcontractors, attending pre-award meetings, documentation and schedules, applications, variation schedules, measurement, controlling accounts, payments, in-house reports, contractual correspondence and final account.
• During the post contract period: finalise subcontractor accounts and complete all filing and other documentation.
• Integrate the commercial strategy, amending to suit project as it develops.
• Liaise with & commercially influence/challenge the other members of the team and the construction process.
