Job summary

International Scale Firm, based in Dublin, seeks an experienced Project Planner to manage schedules for diverse MEP projects across Ireland and internationally. The role includes resource/loading, progress tracking, site coordination, and client reporting, with opportunities for international travel.

The successful candidate will have a background in Electrical/Mechanical building services or QS, 4+ years in project planning, and strong experience using Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, building services or Quantity Surveying.
• Experience working on MEP projects.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a Project Planner role in a similar firm.
• Experience with Primavera P6 to produce project plans.

Responsibilities

• Produce construction schedules for agreement with client in conjunction with the Project Manager.
• Fully resource/cost loaded schedule and maintain it.
• Track planned versus actual progress.
• Attend site meetings (internal and client based).
• Monitor budgets for scope growth/changes.
• Produce weekly construction reports and updates.

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Project Planner to join a leading MEP Engineering firm in the Irish market. This is a tier 1 client, operating across Ireland, the UK, mainland Europe and beyond.

With an ever growing pipeline of work across Commercial, Industrial, Data Centre, Semi Conductor and Healthcare projects, the firm are now on the search for a Project Planners to join them in Dublin, as well as International travelling roles for anyone interested.

Your New Role

• Producing construction schedules for agreement with client in conjunction with the Project Manager.
• Fully resource/cost loaded schedule
• Maintenance of construction schedule
• Track planned versus actual progress.
• Working with construction team members to capture and log any issues affecting progress
• Attending site meetings (internal and client based)
• Monitoring original versus actual budgets for scope growth/changes
• Use of internal database project control system
• Ensuring all progress is captured in updates of system
• Monitoring fabrication shops and site installation output
• Use of database reporting system for circulation of information to project team
• Take lead in production/co-ordination in issuing of weekly construction reports

Do You Fit the Bill?

• Are degree qualifed in Electrical, Mechanical, building services or Quantity Surveying.
• Experience working on MEP projects.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a Project Planner role in a similar firm.
• Experienced in the use of P6 software, and capable of producing project plans from design and commercial information.
