Retrofit Project Manager
As Retrofit Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing retrofit projects from assessment and planning through to installation, certification, grant completion and customer handover. This role requires strong project ownership, clear communication and a practical understanding of SEAI processes, contractor coordination, quality standards and homeowner expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of retrofit projects across OSS, WHS and BEH workstreams.
- Oversee projects from survey and technical assessment through to installation, final BER, documentation and grant close-out.
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, surveyors, assessors and installers to keep projects moving safely, efficiently and on programme.
- Ensure project works are delivered in line with SEAI requirements, Domestic Technical Standards and scheme-specific documentation.
- Support OSS projects where multiple upgrades are delivered as a managed whole-home retrofit solution, with grants deducted upfront for the customer.
- Manage WHS works for eligible homeowners, ensuring assigned measures are completed to the required standard and customer communication is handled with care.
- Support BEH projects involving individual energy upgrades such as insulation, heating controls, heat pumps, solar PV, windows and doors.
- Maintain accurate project records, progress updates, costs, variations, compliance documents and grant information across internal systems and SEAI portals.
- Identify risks, resolve delivery issues and elevate commercial, technical or customer concerns where required.
Skills & Experience
- Experience managing retrofit, construction, energy efficiency or residential upgrade projects.
- Knowledge of SEAI grant schemes WHS and BEH, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of project planning, contractor coordination, quality control and customer handover.
- Comfortable working with new project management systems.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to submit variations and project progress.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to deal with customers, internal teams, installers and external partners.
- Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple live projects at the same time.
- Proactive, practical and solutions-focused, with a strong commitment to safety, compliance and quality.
