Elite Talent Hub is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical packages on commercial and residential construction projects in Cork. The role covers planning, coordination, installation, commissioning and handover, with responsibility for safety, program, budget, and quality.

You will oversee HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation and pipework, coordinating with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong mechanical contracting and building services knowledge.
• Experience leading site teams, subcontractors and budgets.

Job description

Elite Talent Hub is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager on behalf of an established mechanical contractor delivering commercial and residential construction projects across Cork.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified professional to take ownership of projects from initial planning and coordination through to installation, commissioning and final handover.

The successful candidate will oversee mechanical packages including HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation, pipework and associated building services installations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Oversee the installation of HVAC, plumbing, heating, pipework and mechanical building services systems.

Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.

Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.

Manage procurement, material deliveries, labour resources and subcontractor performance.

Monitor project budgets, costs, variations and commercial performance.

Liaise with main contractors, consultants, clients and other project stakeholders.

Coordinate mechanical installations with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications.

Manage testing, commissioning, snagging and final project handover.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Contracts Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Engineer.

Strong background in mechanical contracting and building services installations.

Good technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation and pipework systems.

Experience managing site teams, subcontractors, project programmes and budgets.

Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Relevant mechanical engineering qualification or trade background.
