Job summary

Elite Talent Hub is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor / Site Lead to manage mechanical installations on Cork commercial construction projects. You will coordinate daily site activities, supervise trades and subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality.

The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation and pipework, with responsibility for planning, quality control, and on-site coordination with the Mechanical Project

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Site Supervisor or similar role.
• Experience in commercial construction sector.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience coordinating trades and site activities.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of mechanical installations on projects.
• Supervise trades, pipefitters, plumbers, subcontractors and specialist installers.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation and pipework installations.
• Plan daily and weekly activities to meet the construction programme.
• Liaise with the Mechanical Project Manager, main contractor and other site disciplines.
• Monitor labour productivity, materials, deliveries and installation progress.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, installation clashes and site coordination challenges.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across all mechanical activities.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging and handover activities.
• Attend site coordination meetings and provide regular progress updates.

Elite Talent Hub is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor / Site Lead on behalf of an established mechanical contractor delivering commercial construction projects across Cork.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman or senior tradesperson looking to take ownership of mechanical installations on site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily site activities, supervising mechanical trades and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Projects involve HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation, pipework and associated mechanical building services installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of mechanical installations on commercial construction projects.

• Supervise mechanical trades, pipefitters, plumbers, subcontractors and specialist installers.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman, Mechanical Site Manager or Site Lead.

• Strong background in mechanical contracting, ideally within commercial construction.

• Experience overseeing HVAC, plumbing, heating, pipework or mechanical building services installations.

• Mechanical trade qualification or relevant technical background.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and installation specifications.

• Experience coordinating trades, subcontractors and site activities.

• Good understanding of construction site health and safety requirements.

• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

• Experience delivering commercial buildings, offices, hotels, apartments or mixed-use developments would be advantageous.
