Job summary

KEO Group in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Project Manager – Green Building & Sustainability to join our growing Sustainability team. You will support high-profile sustainable building projects across Ireland and internationally, focusing on green building design, sustainability consulting and certification.

The role requires 5+ years in the built environment, LEED/WELL/BREEAM experience, active LEED AP, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in built environment and/or sustainability fields.
  • 2+ years of experience managing sustainability certifications, LEED/WELL; BREEAM is a plus.
  • Active LEED AP certification or commitment to obtain within 3 months of joining.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or support delivery of green building, sustainability and certification projects from concept through completion.
  • Coordinate LEED, BREEAM, WELL processes and other sustainability documentation and audits.
  • Provide technical advice on energy efficiency, carbon, and environmental performance.

Responsibilities:

Our newest opportunity is for a Project Manager – Green Building & Sustainability to join our growing Sustainability team, based in Dublin, Ireland.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-profile sustainable building projects across Ireland and internationally, with a focus on green building design, sustainability consulting and certification. The role offers an opportunity to take on greater responsibility and contribute to the continued growth of our sustainability services across Ireland and wider European markets.

We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Leading and/or supporting the delivery of green building, sustainability and certification projects from concept through to construction and completion.
  • Managing and coordinating LEED, BREEAM, WELL and other relevant certification processes, including sustainability strategies, documentation, submissions, assessments and audits.
  • Providing technical advice on sustainable building design, energy efficiency, carbon and resource efficiency, indoor environmental quality and overall environmental performance.
  • Reviewing architectural, MEP and technical design proposals to identify opportunities to improve sustainability performance and achieve targeted certification outcomes.
  • Coordinating sustainability requirements across multidisciplinary design and construction teams, ensuring sustainability objectives are effectively integrated into project delivery.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports, sustainability assessments, calculations, presentations and certification documentation, and leading relevant meetings and workshops.
  • Planning and monitoring project programmes, commercial performance and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle, including managing deliverables, budgets, resources and timelines.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders, providing effective technical and project support.
  • Supporting clients in establishing sustainability targets and developing practical strategies to achieve their environmental and green building objectives.
  • Keeping up to date with Irish and European sustainability, energy efficiency, building regulations, standards and green building certification requirements.
  • Supporting business development, proposals, presentations and the continued growth of sustainability services across Ireland and other European markets.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members, while ensuring appropriate quality assurance, quality control and document management across project deliverables.
  • Travelling within Ireland and internationally as required for project delivery, client meetings, workshops and business development activities.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, we envisage that your career journey to date will include:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the built environment and/or sustainability-related fields.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience managing sustainability certifications, with strong experience in LEED and/or WELL; BREEAM experience would be advantageous.
  • Active LEED AP certification, or a commitment to obtain LEED AP, WELL AP and/or relevant certification/assessor accreditation within 3 months of joining.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary design and construction teams, with a strong understanding of sustainable building design and environmental performance.
  • Experience in project coordination, programme management, stakeholder management and client engagement; project management experience would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of the Irish and/or wider European construction and sustainability market.
  • Knowledge of Irish building energy performance requirements and sustainability standards, such as NZEB and BER, would be advantageous.
  • Experience or knowledge of whole-life carbon, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), embodied carbon, energy efficiency or net-zero carbon strategies would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel within Ireland and internationally as required.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Sustainability, Environmental Management or Project/Programme Management would be advantageous.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced sustainability professional who combines strong technical expertise in sustainable building design and green building certification with project delivery and client management experience.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the Irish and wider European market, be fluent in English, and be confident working with clients and multidisciplinary international teams.

Experience with LEED, BREEAM and/or WELL, together with knowledge of areas such as energy performance, whole-life carbon, LCA and net-zero building strategies, would be highly advantageous.
