Job summary

Tier 1 Irish Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver a €50m+ data centre development in Northwest Dublin. You will oversee delivery from early construction through to handover, coordinating with contracts, commercial and design teams to maintain programme, safety and quality.

• Good commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, procurement and variations.
• Preferred data centre construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the €50m+ data centre project from construction through to handover.
• Develop, manage and monitor construction programmes, identifying critical activities and addressing potential delays.
• Lead and coordinate Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Work closely with the commercial team to manage budgets, procurement, variations and project costs.
• Coordinate structural, architectural and building services packages to maintain progress against programme.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across all site activities.
• Oversee quality control, inspections, snagging and compliance with project specifications.
• Liaise with the client, design consultants and senior management regarding project progress.
• Prepare progress reports, chair site meetings and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Identify potential project risks and implement practical solutions to keep works progressing.
• Oversee completion activities and support commissioning and final handover.

This Tier 1 Irish main contractor has a strong reputation for delivering large-scale data centre, commercial, healthcare and industrial construction projects throughout Ireland.
With a substantial pipeline of work across Dublin and the wider Leinster region, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a €50m+ data centre development in Northwest Dublin.

The Role: Project Manager

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery of a €50m+ data centre construction project in Northwest Dublin, overseeing the works from the early construction stages through to completion and handover.
Working closely with the Contracts Manager, commercial team, engineers and site management team, you will manage programme delivery, subcontractor coordination, procurement, quality and health and safety.
This is a senior site-based position requiring someone who can manage multiple construction packages, maintain progress against programme and ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 7+ years' experience in construction management with a main contractor in Ireland.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial, industrial or data centre construction projects.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager on substantial building projects is required.
• Strong experience managing construction programmes, subcontractors, site teams and project resources.

Preferred Experience

• Previous data centre construction experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating structural, architectural and M&E packages beneficial.
• Familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore or similar construction management software advantageous.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline beneficial.

You understand the importance of programme management, subcontractor coordination and commercial performance, particularly on technically demanding projects involving multiple specialist packages.
You will be confident leading site teams, dealing with clients and consultants, and making practical decisions to keep construction progressing.
Previous data centre experience would be particularly beneficial, although Project Managers from large-scale commercial and industrial construction backgrounds will also be considered.
