Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is working with an established contractor delivering high-quality civil construction projects across Ireland. The Civil Project Manager will take overall responsibility for successful delivery of civil schemes based in the West of Ireland and surrounding areas, managing planning through to completion with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, programme, and safety.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering or construction PM experience.
• Degree or qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or related discipline.
• Experience delivering civil construction projects.
• Experience leading project teams and managing subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, project controls, health and safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading project teams and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• Developing and managing detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Monitoring progress, managing project risks, and resolving issues efficiently.
• Ensuring all works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards.
• Chairing project meetings, providing clear direction, and reporting progress to senior management and clients.
• Enforcing health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all phases of the project.

About Your New Role

What Skills You Need

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering or construction.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• A strong track record of successfully delivering civil construction projects.
• Experience leading project teams and managing subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of construction methods, project controls, health and safety, and quality standards.
