3D Personnel is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead site teams and manage subcontractors, ensuring works progress on schedule and within budget. The role requires strong H&S adherence, program control, and effective liaison with design teams.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering or construction qualification with 5-7 years in a similar role, plus leadership, communication, and IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Project) to drive project success.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of building details and construction technology.

  • Strong IT skills with Word, Excel and MS Project.

Responsibilities

  • Manage site staff and sub-contractors daily to progress works.
  • Ensure all company health and safety procedures are implemented.
  • Establish and monitor construction programme.
  • Review drawings and communicate errors/omissions to design team.
  • Coordinate information flow from design team and prepare RFIs.
  • Ensure long lead-time materials or sub contracts are coordinated in a timely fashion.
  • Close liaison with contracts manager/construction director to meet objectives.
  • Work with project QS to manage finances and exceed budget targets.
  • Monitor workmanship quality and materials.
  • Maintain cost effectiveness through efficient resources.
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, regulations and good building practice.
  • Lead and motivate the project team and ensure regulatory obligations.
  • Provide weekly/monthly progress reports to management.

Job description

Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage of site staff and all sub-contractors on a day to day basis to ensure works are progressing as planned.
  • Ensure all company health and safety procedures are implemented.
  • Establish and monitor the construction programme.
  • Check and understand all drawings and specifications. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner.
  • Review designs and make recommendations on buildability and cost saving for the client while maintaining quality and improving margin.
  • Coordinate timely flow of information from the design team and prepare information required schedules/ RFI’s as necessary.
  • Ensure all long lead-time materials or subcontract packages are coordinated in a timely fashion.
  • Close liaison with the contracts manager/ construction director to ensure business objectives and project strategies are met and exceeded.
  • Commercially minded – work with project QS’s to manage project finances and work to exceed budget targets.
  • Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
  • Maintain maximum cost effectiveness through efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations and good building practise.
  • Establish project resource requirements and lead \ motivate the project team
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory obligations
  • Report to management and provide a written weekly/monthly report regarding progress updates on programme and subcontractors.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • Engineering or construction qualification and 5-7 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Team management experience and ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Must have strong knowledge of building detail and construction technology
  • Excellent written, oral communication and time management skills
