Job summary

Flogas Ireland is seeking a Project Manager to join our newly formed PMO and support definition and delivery of strategic and operational initiatives across the business.

The role acts as a critical liaison between Flogas management, stakeholders, technical teams and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with the required quality and benefits realization. It emphasizes change management, governance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a PM, ideally within the energy/utilities sector across IT & business projects.
  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience of SDLC and change control processes.
  • Proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, resourcing, and risk/issue management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change management activities to support successful adoption of new systems, processes, or ways of working.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches) and governance frameworks.
  • Project management qualification (e.g. PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is essential, knowledge of Asana, FreshService and Devops desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring scope, time, cost, and quality objectives are met.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource plans, tracking progress and proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, building strong working relationships across the business, IT, vendors / third parties.
  • Develop and execute stakeholder management and communication plans tailored to the needs of different audiences and project phases.
  • Consider & manage change management activities, including impact assessments, readiness planning, training coordination, and communications to support adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Facilitate project governance & project intelligence, including steering committees, status reporting, metrics and trend analysis.
  • Manage project budgets and resourcing, tracking spend against forecast and escalating as needed.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating appropriately and driving resolution.
  • Ensure IT projects follow appropriate SDLC process and monitor control points.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and technical teams to ensure requirements are translated into successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure appropriate project documentation, controls, and lessons learned are maintained and shared to support continuous improvement of the PMO.
  • Ensure sufficient handover to BAU is completed as part of the project.
  • As this is a newly formed team, contribute to shaping the project delivery framework, methodology, and governance standards

They will play a critical role in improving processes, driving efficiency, best practices and supporting transformation within a fast paced environment ranging on initiatives from operational efficiency / continuous improvement, commercial / product, regulatory, digital transformation, safety etc

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have:
