PRACYVA in Ireland is seeking a Project Manager to support the Product engineering team on medical device programs. The role is Cork-based with five days onsite and a fixed-term contract with our client.

You will lead project initiation, planning and execution, ensuring timelines, budget and quality requirements are met while complying with regulatory standards. Strong cross-functional collaboration and MS Project experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
  • Cork onsite, 5 days per week.
  • Experience supporting product engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure of projects within scope, schedule, cost and quality.
  • Define and maintain project scope and schedule; own progress reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing layouts and process flow.
  • Support resource planning and performance appraisal of project staff, including temporary SMEs.
  • Identify, monitor and manage project risks; liaise with NPD, Design and AO teams.
  • Set priorities and drive on-time delivery of new products within budget.

Role:

Project Manager supporting the Product engineering team

What you will do:

The Project Manager will support an engineering team to deliver key programs or projects per associated timelines, quality requirements and budget.

Employ project management best practice to reduce product time to market whilst adhering to regulatory requirements, project deadlines and product costs.

  • Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. The Project Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering a project's objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Define and clarify project scope while developing and maintaining the project schedule. Ownership for managing and reporting project progress
  • Work closely with cross-functional team to drive successful project implementation. Actively engage with Manufacturing Operations to evaluate existing process layouts in terms of new process integration, ensuring best utilization of floor space, minimized handling and optimum process flow
  • Participate in the selection, training and performance appraisal process of project resources, including temporary contract SMEs as required
  • Responsible for identifying, monitoring, and appropriately managing project risk and liaise with broader NPD, Design, AO (Advanced operations) team on common NPI issues and resolutions. As well as organizing shared services as required, CAD, Metrology, experimental.
  • Establishment of priorities, imparting a sense of urgency and importance to the team while using project management tools and techniques to support the delivery of new products per cost and time commit

Build schedules and organize teams to implement post market projects for the product engineering team. Projects include cost saving initiatives, process and quality improvements. Build connections with local manufacturing operations facility as well as internal product engineering leadership team. Control scope, schedule, cost, and quality and understand who and when to elevate issues. Keep PM information up to date using internal programs, One PPM.

Experience in medical device project delivery desirable but not essential.

Understanding of project management best practice and MS project experience again desirable but not essential.
