Job summary

FRS Recruitment is recruiting for a Programme Manager / Project Manager in Cork. This hands-on role involves leading products from development through to production and ongoing support, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams.

You will develop programme plans, budgets and KPIs, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks and report progress to senior stakeholders. Experience in complex technical environments is valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project or Programme Management experience in engineering, electronics, manufacturing, medical devices, aerospace or similar complex technical environment.
• Strong track record coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of manufacturing or production processes.
• Experience managing project cost, schedule, quality, risks and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product introduction and development programmes from planning through to production.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement, operations, finance and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain programme plans, milestones, budgets and KPIs.
• Monitor programme progress, identify risks and drive corrective actions.
• Support production readiness and transition of products into manufacturing.
• Manage product introduction, lifecycle changes and ongoing product support.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as the key contact for delivery.
• Provide clear programme reporting and communicate progress, risks and changes to senior stakeholders.
• Work with geographically distributed, multidisciplinary teams.

I’m currently recruiting for a Programme Manager / Project Manager opportunity with a well-established engineering and technology organisation in Cork.

This is a hands‑on programme management position suited to someone who enjoys working across engineering, manufacturing, operations and commercial teams to bring complex products from development through to production and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Leading new product introduction and product development programmes from planning through to production
• Coordinating engineering, manufacturing, procurement, operations, finance and other stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining programme plans, milestones, budgets and KPIs
• Monitoring programme progress, identifying risks and issues and driving corrective actions where required
• Supporting production readiness, material planning and the transition of products into manufacturing
• Managing product introduction, lifecycle changes and ongoing product support
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and acting as a key point of contact for programme delivery
• Providing clear programme reporting and communicating progress, risks and changes to senior stakeholders
• Working with geographically distributed, multidisciplinary teams

Experience

• 5+ years' experience in Project or Programme Management, ideally within engineering, electronics, manufacturing, medical devices, aerospace or another complex technical environment
• Strong experience coordinating cross-functional teams
• A good understanding of manufacturing or production processes
• Experience managing project cost, schedule, quality, risks and deliverables
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• A structured and proactive approach to problem solving
• An engineering or other relevant technical qualification would be advantageous, although relevant industry experience will also be considered
