Job summary

ControlSoft Automation Systems Limited in Dundalk, Ireland, is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of automation, process, robotics, turnkey machine solutions and electrical installations from initiation to closeout. You will lead project teams, manage budgets, schedules and risk, mentor junior PMs, and ensure compliance with engineering practices and company policies.

  • Third level qualification in engineering or PMP® and 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable capacity to effectively manage and execute projects from initiation to completion.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a diverse team of engineering professionals and contractors to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
  • Experience in managing the overall financial performance of engineering projects, including cash flow, life cycle costs, business opportunities and risks.
  • Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Automation and Robotics an advantage.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience an advantage.
  • Ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead project management processes, principles and validation documentation across the business.
  • Accountability on key project deliverables for safety, financial, schedule and scope management.
  • Ensure projects are compliant with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations and codes.
  • Working with key stakeholders to understand and clarify end user requirements, develop scope, cost and budget estimates and present to governance for approval.
  • Leading & supporting project teams through complex projects.
  • Support and Mentor Junior/Intermediate PMs within the Projects teams.
  • Financial management - develop project budgets, obtain approvals for and adhere to project scope. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to keep project within budget to assist the financial controller.
  • Manage project prioritisation and expenditure to meet budgetary targets.
  • Planning and Scheduling - use planning tools to complete complex projects on schedule and coordinate parallel activities.
  • Risk Management – Identify and categorise project risks according to impact on scope, budget and schedule and generate action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Innovation - seek innovative and novel approaches for design, function and quality.
  • Manage start-up and commissioning and hand over of all projects.
  • Coordinate engineering support and warranty tracking.

We are looking for a highly motivated, result-driven and confident Project Manager to assist with the management and execution of projects throughout the full life cycle from initiation to closeout. This is a full time and permanent position based in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of strategic projects and will have the capability to manage multiple individual projects as the business requires. These include automation, process, robotics, turnkey automated machine solutions, electrical installations, automated reporting and simulation projects across a wide range of industry sectors.
