Fastnet in Cork, Ireland invites a seasoned Project Manager to lead engineering projects within regulated manufacturing environments. You will drive equipment installations, upgrades and modifications from scope through completion, coordinating across engineering, manufacturing, maintenance and quality teams.

You will develop schedules and budgets, monitor risks, ensure safety and quality standards, and report progress with clear documentation.

• 3–5+ years' experience managing engineering projects.
• Proven track record delivering equipment installations or capital projects.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communication with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Project Manager – Engineering Projects

Summary:

We're working with an established and growing engineering consultancy that delivers a range of projects across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the team in Cork, taking responsibility for the delivery of engineering projects within regulated manufacturing environments.

The Role:

• Lead engineering projects involving equipment installations, upgrades and modifications, managing delivery from initial scope through to completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resources and key milestones.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, quality and external contractors.
• Oversee equipment procurement, installation, commissioning and qualification activities.
• Monitor project performance, identify potential risks and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Ensure project activities comply with site safety procedures, quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates, maintain accurate documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years' experience managing engineering projects.
• Proven track record delivering equipment installations, upgrades or capital engineering projects.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments would be an advantage.
