Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd seeks a Project Hydrogeologist in Dublin to build on hydrogeological experience while taking greater ownership of projects and client relationships.

You will work across renewables, infrastructure, power and built environment projects, blending fieldwork with assessment, interpretation and reporting. A degree in Geoscience or related discipline is essential, with strong reporting skills and driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geoscience, Hydrogeology, Hydrology or related discipline.
• Experience in hydrogeology or hydrology, ideally in consultancy.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Experience with EIA water assessments and Conceptual Site Models is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake hydrogeological field programmes.
• Supervise borehole drilling, geological logging and well installation.
• Conduct hydrogeological testing and groundwater/surface water monitoring.
• Interpret data and develop Conceptual Site Models (CSMs).
• Perform hydrogeological risk assessments and impact appraisals.
• Carry out hydrogeological calculations, groundwater modelling and reporting.
• Prepare water chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
• Support water permitting and licensing work.
• Manage project delivery and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Gain exposure to hydrology, flood risk and drainage in collaboration with specialists.
