Veolia Ireland is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join the ECI team in Kilkenny. You will support the design development of water and wastewater contracts from concept through to delivery, coordinating a multi-disciplinary team across Ireland.
Working alongside the Project Manager, you will prepare delivery documentation, manage sub-consultants, ensure safety compliance, and help deliver projects on time and within budget in a mix of office, site, and WFH settings.

Overview of the Role: Due to continued success and growth across the Water division, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) Team as a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will work on a wide scope of Water and Wastewater Treatment projects across the Island of Ireland.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Project Manager in coordinating a multi disciplined team to include process/mechanical/civil/structural/electrical work associated with various Water and Wastewater Treatment projects across the Island of Ireland.
The Project Engineer will have responsibility for assisting in the design development of the water and wastewater treatment contracts from early design /concept stage through to detailed design stage and onto delivery / construction stage. Collaborating with the Project Manager in the preparation of delivery documentation for client submissions including technical submissions, managing sub-consultant submissions (incl planning), preparing regulatory Health & Safety documentation, detailed design packages, tendering documentation and construction design packages.
During delivery stage the Project Engineer will liaise with design teams and suppliers, manage subcontractors, installation personnel and commissioning teams to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. Ensure, all equipment is sized, procured, delivered, installed, tested and ultimately commissioned in accordance with contractual requirements.
