Job summary

QCS Staffing Ltd. seeks an Engineering Project Manager for an Ireland-based, 12-month contract to support a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility near Westport. The role covers design, installation and start-up of upgrades, with broad oversight across safety, electrical, mechanical, controls and architecture.

You will coordinate on-site construction activities, plan resource use and milestones, and review drawings to resolve conflicts promptly in a GMP-regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Structural, Civil, Construction management or related discipline.
• Experience in civil/structural engineering and construction project management.
• Experience in regulated pharma/quality-focused environments.
• Strong understanding of GMP project execution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design, installation and start-up of new or upgraded facilities and equipment.
• Provide oversight across safety, electrical, mechanical, controls and architectural disciplines.
• Supervise daily construction activities on-site to meet quality plans and schedules.
• Plan construction activities to optimize resources and milestones.
• Review drawings and specs to resolve discrepancies quickly.

What you’ll deliver:

• The Project Manager will coordinate and manage the design, installation and operational start-up of new/upgrades to buildings, facilities, systems / equipment.
• The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for project oversight and review of all disciplines including Safety, electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural.
• A fundamental understanding of these systems is required
• Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities at site, ensuring compliance with the project quality plan, technical specifications and construction schedule.
• Plan and organize construction activities to optimize the use of resources and meet project milestones.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify and resolve discrepancies or conflicts in a timely manner.

Experience required:

• Degree in Engineering, Structural, Civil, Construction management or related discipline
• Extensive experience in a civil and/or structural engineering, construction project Management.
• Experience working in a regulated, Pharma, quality-focused environment
• Strong understanding of project execution in a GMP setting.
• Experience supporting projects in Pharma, Medical Device, or other regulated GMP manufacturing environments.
