Job summary

Abrivia is seeking a Project Accountant in South Dublin to join a leading insurance business. This permanent role sits within the Finance team, offering hybrid work with three days in the office as the company continues its finance transformation initiatives.

You will liaise with stakeholders across the international group, support month-end processes and deliver insightful management reporting. The role requires solid accounting experience and a detail-focused, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 2 years' PQE.
• Experience in the insurance sector is required or preferred.
• Strong month-end and financial reporting experience.
• Solvency II and IFRS 17 experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.

Job Title: Project Accountant Location: South Dublin Working Model: Hybrid - 3 days in the office Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Project Accountant to join our client, a leading insurance business based in South Dublin This is a permanent position within the Finance team and has arisen following the promotion of the previous Project Accountant.

Your Role

• Support finance transformation projects and wider business initiatives
• Review existing finance processes, controls and procedures and identify areas for improvement
• Prepare management reports for senior members of the Finance team
• Support month-end, financial and regulatory reporting during key reporting periods
• Work with stakeholders across the wider international group on finance-related projects
• Assist with planning, audit and review processes
• Support the implementation and improvement of finance systems and reporting tools
• Provide additional support across the Finance function as required

Your Skills

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 2 years' PQE
• Previous accounting experience within the insurance sector
• Strong experience in month-end reporting and financial reporting
• Solvency II and IFRS 17 experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Strong Excel skills with experience using reporting or data visualisation tools
• Good understanding of financial controls and accounting processes
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
• Confident communicator who can work effectively with finance and wider business stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a role that combines reporting responsibilities with project-based work
