Job Description:

Junior Programmer (Visual Basic for Applications)

The job is primarily focused on the Microsoft Suite of Applications (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access).

• The ideal candidate should have the following skills and attributes
• Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including:
• Excel: Proficiency in use of pivot tables with OLE links, complex function creation, debugging & updating existing spreadsheet solutions, creating well documented & efficient new spreadsheet solutions.
• Access: A good knowledge of Access including database design, OLE links, query creation & form design. An understanding of good database design and normalization would be advantageous.
• Proficient in VBA (Excel\Access) to be able to both develop new and maintain current solutions and applications (2/3 years' experience in the job would be advantageous)
• Proficient in Visual Studio & .Net in C# or Visual Basic.
• Good Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio and SQL (queries and stored procedures).
• Prior experience in implementing technology solutions is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience of requirements gathering with users.
• Comfortable working on own initiative.
• Experience troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to prioritize workload and to think outside the box.
• Fluent English both written and verbal.
