Job summary

eir business talent is seeking a Programme Manager – Azure Cloud Migration & Transformation in Dublin on a hybrid basis. You will lead large-scale enterprise cloud programmes from strategy and planning through migration execution, application modernisation and value realisation.

Responsibilities include governance, roadmapping, and executive reporting, with CTO/CIO engagement and multi-vendor delivery oversight. 12-month initial term with potential extension; Stamp 4 visa eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Azure Cloud Migration and Transformation programmes, ensuring outcomes align with business objectives and digital transformation goals.
• Establish programme governance, steering committees, operating models, KPIs, and executive reporting frameworks.
• Define Azure migration roadmaps, lead application portfolio assessments, and establish migration waves and dependency management.
• Lead Azure Landing Zone setup, cloud foundation implementation, infrastructure migration, and application modernisation.
• Engage CIOs, CTOs, cloud leaders, enterprise architects, and security teams as the main escalation point for risks and issues.
• Manage programme budgets, forecasts, cloud consumption, benefits realisation, ROI tracking and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Maintain RAID logs and ensure compliance with security, governance, DR, and resilience requirements.
• Lead organisational change management, cloud adoption, operating model redesign, training and knowledge transition activities.
• Manage third-party vendors, service integrators and global delivery teams including cloud architects and migration engineers.

Role

As a Programme Manager – Azure Cloud Migration & Transformation, you will lead large-scale enterprise cloud transformation programmes from strategy and planning through to migration execution, application modernisation, governance, adoption and value realisation. You will manage multiple interconnected workstreams including Azure Landing Zones, infrastructure migration, application modernisation, data platform transformation, security and compliance, and cloud operating model implementation. This role offers the opportunity to shape cloud transformation outcomes, engage with executive stakeholders and lead multi-vendor, geographically distributed delivery teams.

Your responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Azure Cloud Migration and Transformation programmes, ensuring outcomes are aligned to business objectives and digital transformation goals.
• Establish programme governance, steering committees, operating models, KPIs, integrated plans and executive reporting frameworks.
• Define Azure migration roadmaps, lead application portfolio assessments, and establish migration waves, cutover strategies and dependency management.
• Lead Azure Landing Zone setup, cloud foundation implementation, infrastructure migration, application modernisation and transition to steady-state operations.
• Engage CIOs, CTOs, cloud leaders, enterprise architects, security teams and business stakeholders, acting as the primary escalation point for programme risks and issues.
• Manage programme budgets, forecasts, cloud consumption, benefits realisation, ROI tracking and cost optimisation initiatives using Azure-native capabilities.
• Maintain RAID logs and ensure compliance with security, regulatory, governance, disaster recovery, business continuity and resilience requirements.
• Lead organisational change management, cloud adoption, operating model redesign, training and knowledge transition activities.
• Manage third-party vendors, service integrators and global delivery teams including cloud architects, migration engineers, security specialists, project managers and SMEs.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience

• 12–15+ years of IT experience, including at least 8+ years managing large transformation programmes.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure Cloud Migration programmes.
• Strong understanding of Azure Landing Zones, infrastructure migration, application modernisation, cloud foundations and operating models.
• Experience managing transformation portfolios exceeding £5M+ in annual programme value.
• Strong track record in delivering infrastructure, application and data transformation initiatives across complex enterprise environments.
• Excellent executive stakeholder management skills, including engagement with CIO, CTO, cloud, architecture, security and business teams.
• Strong programme governance, financial management, RAID management, reporting and benefits realisation capability.
• Experience leading multi-vendor, offshore, nearshore and onsite teams in a complex delivery environment.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience

• Experience with Azure-native cost optimisation, cloud consumption management, disaster recovery, resilience planning, security compliance and cloud adoption frameworks.
• Experience mentoring project managers, transformation leads and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Familiarity with application portfolio assessment, migration wave planning, dependency mapping and cutover execution.

Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G Dependant, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
