Job summary

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) is recruiting for a part-time Programme Facilitator to join our Thomastown team. The role supports people with physical and intellectual disabilities and autism, delivering engaging programmes and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

You will need QQI Level 6 or higher or equivalent in Community/Health/Social Care or Education, plus at least two years' experience with vulnerable adults. Proficient IT skills and a full driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

  • Hold a QQI Level 6 or above or equivalent qualification in Community/Health/Social Care or Education.
  • Have 2 years experience with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • An understanding of national policies and developments in Social Care within disability services.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism.
  • Support and develop staff and volunteers to deliver person-centred activities.
  • Promote and implement the New Directions model of day support services within your role.

Programme Facilitator

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

We are currently recruiting for Programme Facilitators to join our team in Thomastown.

Job Title: Programme Facilitator

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Parttime (35 hours per week)

Salary: €36,275- €43,860 per annum

What you will need:

  • Hold a qualification at Level 6 or above on the QQI Framework - or equivalent qualification in Community/Heath, Social Care or Education.
  • Have 2 years experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
  • Experience of running programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism.
  • An understanding of the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE. A willingness to work in promoting this model within your role.
  • An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
  • An ability to contribute towards the support, coaching, managing, motivating and developing a mixed workforce of volunteers and employees.
