Job summary

Camphill Communities of Ireland invites applications for a Programme Assistant to join our Thomastown team. This permanent, part-time role (35 hours per week) offers the opportunity to support adults with disabilities in day-to-day activities and programmes.

You will work as part of a committed team, using person-centred approaches and maintaining professional standards, with access to training and development within a leading national organisation.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework - or equivalent qualification in Community/Health or Social Care.
• Have 1 years experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
• Experience of running programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism
• An understanding of the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE. A willingness to work in promoting this model within your role
• An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• A full driver\'s licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

We are currently recruiting for Programme Assistants to join our team in Thomastown.

Job Title: Programme Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Parttime (35 hours per week)

Salary: €32,526- €42,730 per annum
