Job summary

Inflection AI Limited, the Irish subsidiary of Inflection AI, Inc., seeks a strategic leader to shape privacy, regulatory and corporate compliance across the EU. You will drive GDPR, EU AI Act, and Digital Services Act enforcement, and coordinate with Irish regulators while scaling our Ireland presence.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years in trust & safety, privacy, and regulatory functions, with strong cross‑functional leadership, executive presence, and risk management capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in trust & safety operations, privacy/data protection, regulatory compliance, corporate compliance, or related fields.
• Experience enforcing on sensitive content and managing risk at scale is preferred.
• Strong program management and cross‑functional leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end policy enforcement, misuse detection, response, case resolution, and escalation protocols.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex safety, integrity, reputational, and operational issues.
• Build governance and risk frameworks for AI safety, content moderation, and platform integrity with cross‑functional partners.
• Lead GDPR, EU AI Act, Digital Services Act compliance efforts and liaise with Irish DPC as the lead EU supervisory authority.
• Define how personal data is processed in coordination with the Ireland‑based board and US leadership.
• Develop and maintain compliance documentation (records of processing, DPIAs, privacy policies).
• Help stand up and scale the Ireland office, incl. recruiting and onboarding in collaboration with Legal and regulators.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth AI company as Inflection AI's first hire in Ireland and a critical member of our global Safety, Wellbeing & Trust team.

You will be responsible for shaping and leading the company’s strategy and approach to privacy, regulatory, and corporate compliance—including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and other applicable regulations—while also ensuring consistent, effective day-to-day enforcement of our content and safety policies worldwide. In this role, you will be instrumental in establishing our presence in Ireland and ensuring that our products, operations, and teams scale responsibly and safely anchored in our public benefit mission, values, legal obligations, and commitments.

This role requires a leader with strong judgment, credibility, and executive presence — someone equally comfortable navigating policy, operations, regulatory engagement, and cross‑functional decision‑making in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment as well as detail‑oriented, execution‑focused and operational work.

What You’ll Do

• Own global content and safety enforcement end to end policy enforcement, misuse detection and response, case resolution, and escalation protocols.
• Act as the senior escalation point and incident lead for complex safety, integrity, reputational, and operational issues.
• Build internal governance and risk frameworks for AI safety, content moderation, and platform integrity, partnering with Product, Engineering, Legal, Security, Policy, and Operations.
• Serve as operational lead for GDPR and broader regulatory compliance (EU AI Act, Digital Services Act), and support the relationship with the Irish Data Protection Commission as our lead EU supervisory authority.
• Direct how Inflection AI processes EU personal data, setting the purposes and means in coordination with the Ireland‑based board and U.S. leadership.
• Build and maintain the Irish entity’s compliance documentation: records of processing activities, data protection impact assessments, and privacy policies.
• Help stand up and scale Inflection AI’s Ireland office recruiting and onboarding the local team, and partnering with Legal, outside counsel, and local regulators to keep the Irish entity fully operational and in good standing.

You Will Have

• 7+ years of experience in trust & safety operations, privacy/data protection, regulatory compliance, corporate compliance, or a combination of these fields
• Significant experience enforcing on highly graphic or disturbing content in sensitive areas, including child sexual exploitation, hate/defamation, sex crimes, violence, suicide and self harm, mental health, or other physical or relational hazards.
• Strong program management skills you can drive complex, cross‑functional workstreams independently from scoping through execution
• Ability to work autonomously with limited local infrastructure and make sound decisions with incomplete information.
• Comfort operating as a senior individual contributor who will build a team over time
• Experience developing and implementing proactive risk management frameworks, escalation protocols, and crisis management playbooks.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, particularly with legal, engineering and product teams, across different time zones and geographies
• Demonstrated experience building and running enforcement or compliance operations programs at a technology company
• Familiarity with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance functions and regulations, including GDPR, EU AI Act, Digital Services Act, or cross‑border data transfer mechanisms (SCCs, BCRs)
• Based in Ireland or willing to relocate to Dublin
• Occasional travel (15%) within Europe, UK, and US

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI products, large language models, or conversational AI platforms is strongly preferred
• Experience standing up a new office, team, or function in Ireland for a U.S.-based technology company

For this role, Inflection AI estimates a starting annual base salary to fall within the range of EUR 150,000 to EUR 275,000, depending on a candidate’s qualifications and level of experience.
