Job summary

Abbott Kilkenny is seeking an experienced manufacturing lead to ensure production targets are met, drive continuous improvement, and manage shifts with a focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost. You will line-manage operators and technicians within your process area.

The role requires a minimum NFQ Level 7 qualification and 3+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, with strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 NFQ qualification.
• 3+ years of experience in developing a team.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility with production staff and involve them in problem solving.
• Develop a high-performance team with strong morale and performance.
• Foster a respectful work environment and address unacceptable behaviour.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to support development.
• Review production schedules to identify and resolve problems.
• Ensure product quality via standard work and training.
• Provide training to improve 5S and housekeeping.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
• Communicate with staff about performance, safety, and policies.
• Maintain time and production records.
