Job summary

Ohshima Ireland LTD is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for our Shannon, Co. Clare facility. You will lead staffing, ensure continuous supply to the production line, and drive KPI targets while maintaining quality and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement to sustain high performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Staffing and Production Management: manage staffing to meet demand and production schedules.
• Ensure continuous supply of components to the production line by coordinating with stores.
• Meet production targets and monitor daily progress with KPIs.
• Address and resolve issues affecting production including quality and processes.
• Team Leadership and Development: direct team members and cover all roles as needed.
• Resolve equipment and hardware issues; conduct regular team meetings.
• Maintain a solution-focused, high-standard work environment.
• Quality Assurance: communicate quality requirements and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Complete required documentation and support continuous improvement with management.
• Maintain clean, FOD-free work area and update production metrics.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Staffing and Production Management:

Collaborate with other area supervisors and team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to meet customer demand and production schedules.

Ensure continuous supply of components to the production line by communicating with stores.

Meet all production targets as outlined by KPIs and populate target boards to monitor daily progress.

Address and resolve issues affecting production, including quality, performance, processes, equipment, materials, and labour.

Team Leadership and Development:

Direct team members to foster a multifunctional team environment with flexibility to cover all roles.

Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving equipment and hardware issues.

Conduct regular team meetings to align on targets, address assembly line issues, and promote a solution-focused work area.

Drive a positive, can-do attitude within the team, emphasizing teamwork and high standards.

Quality Assurance:

Communicate quality requirements and standards to the team, ensuring adherence to documented policies and procedures.

Complete required documentation related to business or regulatory requirements.

Support and identify continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor and Management teams.

Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions and ensure an FOD-free environment.

Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication to drive improvements.
