Job summary

Boston Scientific Cork is seeking a Production Supervisor (Evenings) to lead a team of production operators in a collaborative environment, delivering high-quality products safely and efficiently.

The role focuses on continuous improvement, planning production schedules, coordinating with QA, warehousing and engineering, and ensuring GMP and 5S practices are followed. 3–5 years of people-management experience and a Honours Bachelor Degree are required.

• Honours Bachelor Degree (level 8) in Engineering/Science/Production Management/Business Management.
• Excellent planning and organising skills are essential for this role.
• Metrics and continuous improvement experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to motivate and engage with teams.
• Experience of managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead production personnel to meet daily quality, output, and efficiency targets.
• Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules with staffing, training, and capacity planning.
• Coordinate with Warehousing, QA, Packaging, and Engineering to ensure timely flow and shipment.
• Promote GMP, 5S and housekeeping to maintain high standards of manufacturing practice.
• Monitor material flows, space usage, and equipment performance for optimal efficiency.
• Handle time and attendance, holiday planning, and contribute to build plan and progress tracking.
• Collaborate with EHS to identify and reduce environmental impacts and ensure a safe working environment.

Job Purpose

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading a team of production operators within a collaborative and supportive environment. Your leadership will be key to ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of high-quality products, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership:Supervise and support production personnel to meet daily targets in quality, output, and efficiency.
• Production Planning:Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules, incorporating staffing, training, and capacity planning.
• Cross-Functional Coordination:Collaborate with Warehousing, Quality Assurance, Packaging, and Engineering teams to ensure timely product flow and shipment.
• GMP, 5S & Housekeeping:Promote and maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practices and workplace cleanliness.
• Process Oversight:Monitor material flows, space utilization, and equipment performance to ensure optimal production efficiency.
• Administrative Duties:Manage time and attendance, holiday planning, and contribute to build plan and progress tracking.
• Health, Safety & Environment:Work with EHS to identify and reduce environmental impacts and ensure a safe working environment.

Education & Experience

• 3-5 years experience people-management in a dynamic production environment
• Hons Bachelor Degree (level 8) in a relevant discipline such as Engineering/Science/Production Mgt./Business Mgmt./Supervisory.
• Excellent planning & organising skills are essential for this role.
• Metrics and continuous improvement experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to motivate and engage with teams.
• Experience of managing a team.
