Job summary

Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. in Ireland seeks a Production Engineer to oversee planning and scheduling of production across the factory. You will liaise with Design, Industrial Engineering and Production teams to ensure efficient manufacturing of crane components.

The role emphasizes strong mentoring and ongoing education programs. The candidate should have robust experience in Production Engineering, MES/ERP systems, CAD proficiency and a proactive, analytical mindset capable of multi-tasking

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in Production Engineering required.
• Experience with MES/ERP systems essential.
• Lean Green Belt desirable.
• Proficient with CAD and data analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production for steel construction, mechanical and electrical crane components.
• Operate ERP production system.
• Conduct time and method studies.
• Develop layouts for equipment, processes and workflow.
• Identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
• Interpret MES data and compile reports.
• Analyze drawings and provide material and cost estimates.
• Assess potential issues and implement CIP projects.

Job description

We are currently recruting for a Production Engineer to join our team in Industrial Engineering. The Production Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the planning and scheduling of production throughout the factory. The Engineer will liaise with Design, Industrial Engineering, and Production personnel as necessary regarding production engineering requirements. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter, dependable, thorough and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This position will be supported with a strong mentoring and education program as required.

Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:

• Plans and schedules production, including the process of steel construction, mechanical and electrical crane components.
• Operates the Company ERP production system.
• Conducts time and method studies.
• Develops detailed layout for equipment, processes, and workflow.
• Optimises procedures and processes, labour cost control, Make or Buy analysis.
• Interprets MES data and compiles report, evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Analyses technical drawings and provides material and cost estimates.
• Analyses potential issues and implements CIP projects.

Qualifications, Requirements & Experience

• 3 Years previous experience in Production Engineering essential
• Previous experience with MES/ERP systems essential
• Lean Green Belt desirable
• Experience using CAD, data analysis programs and related software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• High Level of technical expertise along with being a strong analytical thinker
• Strong communicator with the ability to build relationship at all levels.
