Our client is a global leader in the medical devices sector with over a century of history and a dominant presence across the Irish healthcare market. This is a Product Specialist position covering hospitals across the West of Ireland, with a preference for candidates based in Galway. You will be responsible for promoting and supporting a critical care portfolio including equipment and associated consumables, working closely with clinical and procurement stakeholders across both public and private hospitals.
Day-to-day, you will be managing and growing existing hospital accounts, identifying new opportunities, delivering clinical education, and engaging with consultants, nurses, clinical specialists, procurement teams and hospital management. This is a consultative, relationship-driven role with a strong emphasis on clinical credibility and education — you will need to be as comfortable presenting to a consultant as you are supporting a product evaluation on the ward.
We are open to two candidate profiles for this role.
Candidates from a medical sales background should have a proven track record selling into hospitals or secondary care in Ireland, ideally with exposure to critical care and acute care products.
Candidates from a clinical background — nurses or clinical professionals with experience in ICU, theatre or acute care — who are ready to transition into a commercial, education-focused role will also be strongly considered.
Regardless of background, you should be driven, clinically credible and relationship-focused, with strong communication and presentation skills and the confidence to engage at all levels within a hospital environment. Candidates should be based in Leinster. A full, clean Irish driving licence is required.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a global market leader with a strong Irish presence, a market-leading critical care portfolio and a genuine commitment to the development and progression of its commercial team.
