DB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead a major Retail Banking transformation. The role requires programme-level leadership across business and technology, aligning objectives with delivery partners and senior stakeholders.

The position involves governance, risk management and coordination across multiple workstreams, as part of a complex banking platform implementation. This is a 6-month contract, hybrid in Dublin with a high daily rate.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Senior Programme Manager / Programme Director in Retail Banking or Financial Services.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior programme leadership across a complex Retail Banking transformation.
• Establish and maintain alignment between programme objectives, workstreams, delivery partners and executive stakeholders.
• Lead programme governance with reporting, decision-making and escalation processes.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple business and technology workstreams.
• Drive the implementation of a new banking platform, including migration and integration activity.
• Oversee dependencies, risks, issues and interdependencies across the programme.
• Work closely with technology, operations, business change and external delivery partners to maintain delivery momentum.
• Provide clear and transparent reporting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Identify delivery risks and blockers early and drive mitigation and resolution.
• Ensure programme milestones, deliverables and outcomes remain aligned with agreed objectives.
• Bring structure and pace to a complex and evolving transformation environment.
• Support effective business change and organisational readiness throughout the transformation.
• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, delivery partners and programme leadership.
• Ensure effective communication across programme workstreams and wider business stakeholders.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to provide senior leadership across a major Retail Banking transformation programme.

Working through a leading consultancy practice, you will take responsibility for providing programme-level leadership across both business and technology, ensuring strong alignment between programme objectives, individual workstreams, delivery partners and senior executive stakeholders.

This is a complex transformation involving the implementation of a new banking platform, alongside significant migration, integration and business change activity.

The successful candidate will bring the structure, pace and transparency required to manage a complex programme environment and ensure delivery remains aligned to strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior programme leadership across a complex Retail Banking transformation.

Required Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Significant experience working as a Senior Programme Manager / Programme Director within Retail Banking or Financial Services.
• Proven experience working across both business and technology environments.
• Experience of banking platform implementations, ideally involving migration and systems integration.
• Strong programme governance and senior stakeholder management experience.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams, delivery partners and complex dependencies.
• Proven ability to operate confidently with executive and C-suite stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of business change within large-scale transformation programmes.
• Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills.
• A structured and delivery-focused approach, with the ability to bring pace and accountability to complex programmes.

Consultancy Experience

Previous experience working within a consultancy environment is highly desirable.

The successful candidate should be comfortable operating within a client-facing environment and able to quickly establish credibility with senior business and technology stakeholders.
