Job summary

CompuStaff is seeking a Product Owner for its Galway R&D hub. You will translate business needs into clear requirements and drive delivery across multiple SaaS products, collaborating closely with product managers, developers and designers.

Key duties include owning the backlog, writing user stories, refining backlog, and coordinating sprint plans to meet quarterly goals. You’ll engage stakeholders and end-users to shape requirements and help resolve blockers while supporting release plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in business analysis, product ownership or related role in SaaS/software.
• Experience translating business requirements into user stories and supporting software delivery.
• Practical understanding of Agile, web technologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation to manage competing demands across products.
• Clear communication with technical teams, stakeholders and customers.

CompuStaff is recruiting a Product Owner for an expanding global SaaS business whose Galway R&D centre is its global AI R&D hub. With a multi-year AI transformation underway, this is an opportunity to help turn product priorities into features that reach customers.

The role

Working closely with Product Managers, developers, designers and stakeholders, you’ll translate business needs into clear requirements and keep delivery moving across multiple products.

You will:

• Own and prioritise the product backlog, balancing changing requirements and business priorities.
• Write clear, actionable user stories and lead backlog refinement.
• Coordinate sprint planning and support delivery against quarterly commitments.
• Work with stakeholders and end-users to understand needs and shape requirements.
• Help resolve blockers, coordinate release plans and communicate progress and changes.

What you’ll bring

• At least three years’ experience in business analysis, product ownership or a closely related role within a SaaS or software environment.
• Experience translating business requirements into user stories and supporting software delivery.
• A practical understanding of Agile, web technologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands across products.
• Clear communication and confidence working with technical teams, business stakeholders and customers.

A relevant degree or equivalent experience is welcome. The role includes approximately 10-15% travel for client and office visits.
