IDRecruitment is recruiting a Product Development Technician for a Medical Device manufacturing company located in Galway. The role involves supporting engineers in set-up and calibration, performing rework and quality testing, and developing procedures and reports.

You will work in a team to ensure high-quality assemblies and comply with ISO standards. Key duties include assisting with design and development of assembly methods, maintaining records, and training staff.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Able to work in a controlled environment and cleanroom assembly area.
  • Able to understand and follow mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Able to understand and follow written instructions.
  • Able to operate assembly equipment such as braider, laminator and spot welder (training provided).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design & develop delivery systems for client companies.
  • Assemble, test & package complex mechanical devices following written & verbal instructions.
  • Work with Engineers to design & develop assembly methods.
  • Maintain accurate work records such as engineering notebooks and routers.
  • Train assemblers, technicians, & engineers in assembly methods.
  • Assist with in-process testing to assure product meets specification.
  • Operate computer, laboratory & manufacturing equipment to test & develop prototype products.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized as per required procedures.
  • Follow all safety rules, Quality and ISO requirements.
  • Assure that all products are built to the highest standard of quality.

TheProduct Development Technician will be responsible for providing technicalsupport to engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performingrework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components,subassemblies and final assemblies. They will also be responsible fordeveloping and recommending procedures and methods, preparing technical reportsand documentation and performing technical evaluations to determine root causeand recommending corrective actions.
