Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & R&D LAB LEAD in County Clare. The role will manage the development lab, supervise one R&D Technician and drive development projects from customer need through prototyping, testing and manufacturing implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on prototyping experience, and the ability to translate technical requirements into practical product solutions while coordinating with commercial, operations

Qualifications

BS or MS in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Plastics or related field with 4+ years (BS) or 2+ years (MS) of relevant experience.
Demonstrated end-to-end project management skills.
Experience leading development projects from concept to implementation.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead product, material, sample and process development from concept to implementation.
Manage the development lab, equipment, safety, documentation and priorities.
Line manage one R&D Technician, plan workload and provide technical guidance.
Conduct prototyping, sample development, color matching and proof-of-concept testing.
Organise development and production trials with material prep, testing, data collection and reporting.
Collaborate with commercial, operations, QA, suppliers and customers to translate requirements into solutions.
Maintain clear documentation and test records for grants, tax credits and reviews.
