Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced Product Counsel to shape the legal framework for our infrastructure software across AI, privacy, licensing, and compliance. Based in Dublin with hybrid work, you will partner with Product and Technology teams to guide roadmaps while balancing risk and practical business needs.

Reporting to the Senior Director IBP within LCA, you will monitor evolving regulations, advise on product commitments, and help embed legal thinking into product strategy to

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of relevant legal experience, with significant in-house experience at a technology, SaaS, or engineering/infrastructure software company.
• Experience supporting global software products in privacy, data governance, AI governance, cybersecurity, product compliance, cloud services, SaaS platforms, APIs, or software licensing.
• Strong understanding of modern software development lifecycles.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence with senior executives in a complex global organization.

Responsibilities

• Embed as a proactive, embedded advisor through the product lifecycle — from early strategy and prioritization discussions through launch.
• Develop strong relationships with Product and Technology leadership and understand roadmap priorities and key build decisions.
• Build genuine partnerships with LCA experts grounded in mutual trust and amplify their reach into Product and Technology.
• Translate product strategy and roadmap decisions into clear updates for LCA teams.
• Monitor emerging regulations and technology trends to identify implications for the roadmap and inform build decisions.
